A presidential decree bringing about its dissolution was published today on the official Amissopian website.
The Amissopian government established the Universal Triumvirate as a federal state in light of the original micronation becoming defunct after a mass exodus of its membership in 2016. Lancelot Rice, former Universal Triumvirate Head of Naturalization – the citizenship bureau of the state – took over the post of Major Executive, the head of government and head of state, in a last-ditch effort to revive the country, but efforts proved futile and the government finally became defunct after the Rice administration collapsed.
Amissopia re-established the Universal Triumvirate as an Amissopian federal state, but the Universal Triumvirate state government became immediately inactive, mostly due to a lack of personnel within Amissopia at large. Now, sources within the Amissopian government claim that President Horatio Eden’s policy priorities have changed, and that attempts to revive the Universal Triumvirate are no longer considered feasible.
The Universal Triumvirate had only a limited interaction with the micronational community at large. They formed brief diplomatic relations with the former Kingdom of Loquntia – now also defunct – and the Kid United Republic, which later become the Democratic Republic of Cinnamon Creek of Artemis Langford, now also dissolved in favour of the Soviet Socialist Republics of Aarbaro.
The Department of Triumviral Affairs – the government liaison with the Triumvirate state government – has also been dissolved. The Universal Triumvirate Heritage Institute, which keeps and updates records relating to the former micronation, will be unaffected by this policy decision.
