Acting Presydent of Aenderia Horatio Eden has pleaded not guilty to six criminal charges brought against him by the Aenderian Attorney General, Joshua Mullins.

He is accused of committing conspiracy, conspiracy to commit sedition, sedition itself, voter intimidation, criminal simulation and evidence tampering.

Acting Presydent Eden has refused to cooperate with the Attorney General and maintains his innocence. Eden has apparently elected to represent himself. Anthony Clark, Chief Justice of the Abeldane Supreme Court, has been brought in to hear the case.

Also indicted were William Efton, a member of the Aenderian Centrist Party and one of Eden’s allies, who agreed to comply with the Attorney General’s investigation in exchange for an offer of immunity, and Speaker of the House Jayden Lycon.

The Attorney General’s indictment of Eden includes a reference to a future motion to disband Eden’s presidency, as it was built on “grounds of Sedition and Conspiracy”. The full Eden indictment can be viewed here (downloadable PDF).

The office of the Acting Presydent declined to comment. Eden is apparently seeking discovery of the Attorney General’s findings and no date has been set for a court hearing.

The trial continues.
